Girl Scouts release Cookie Cereal

By  |

Our dreams have finally come true. For the first time in history, it will now become acceptable to eat cookies for breakfast. Girl Scouts have given us the gift of cookie cereal, meaning we can all eat thin mints for breakfast without being judged.

According to Candy Hunting’s Instagram account, two flavors, Thin Mints and Caramel Crunch (a.k.a. Samoas), will be released in January. General Mills confirmed that both flavors will be available nationwide in 2017. I think it’s safe to say 2017 will be a great (and delicious) year.

New information on the cereal won’t be released until later this year, but we are all hoping cookie cereal will be available for purchase at local grocery stores. If not, January marks the time when Girl Scout booths pop up, and you will be able to stock your shelves full of cookie cereal.

Now, this may not be the healthiest breakfast choice out there, but starting in January, we will all be too full of cookies and happiness to even think about how unhealthy we are being.

On top of this overwhelming news, it was reported that the Girl Scout’s will also be releasing two new S’mores flavors in January. According to the Girl Scout Blog, the cookies are described as, “a crispy graham cookie double dipped in a crème icing and enrobed in a chocolatey coating and a crunchy graham sandwich cookie with a chocolate and marshmallowy filling.”

Sorry to all of the gym’s out there because Girl Scout season has already put a halt on your 2017 New Year’s gym resolution. And for all you mom’s out there, we told you we could have cookies for breakfast.

Girl Scout Season is just around the corner and you can finally stock up on your favorite treats in January. Find local booths on the organizations website.
