San Diego Winter Concerts and Shows
The weather outside is frightful but it’s always delightful listening to your favorite bands this holiday season. This winter, San Diego hosts everyone from Lady Gaga to the The Doobie Brothers. Venues like Belly Up Tavern, House of Blues and the Casbah are offering musical experiences that cannot be missed.
Here is a calendar of upcoming events:
December 3
- Straight No Chaser is playing at Harrah’s at a 9 p.m. show. Fans can get their tickets for the evening here.
- John Meeks plays the Casbah at 8:30 p.m. Get tickets here.
December 4
- Mike Pinto plays at the House of Blues with Stranger, B Foundation, High Tide, & Hi Roots starting at 7 p.m.
- Classic Rock band The Doobie Brothers will be rocking the night away at the Spreckles Theater with Shawn Mullins. The live show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale here.
- The ’90s hip-hop artists of the Wu-Tang Clan will perform at 4th & B at 8 p.m.
- Catch Earthless at the Casbah. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. and tickets are on sale now.
December 5
- Electro pop band Passion Pit has two records and is best known for their single “Sleepyhead.” You can see them perform at Soma at 7 p.m. Get your tickets here.
- Musician Dweezil Zappa (C) and members of Zappa plays Zappa will be playing at the House of Blues at 7 p.m. Get your tickets for the show online.
December 7
- Courtney Taylor-Taylor will play with the rest of the Dandy Warhols, Portland’s psychedelic-pop protagonists known for songs like “The Last High” and “Bohemian Like You.” The show is going to be at the Belly Up at 9 p.m.
December 9
- Fever Sleeves along with The Globes and Mt St Helens Vietnam Band are going to be at the Casbah. Tickets are $10 online.
December 10
- Delta Spirit returns to San Diego to play at the House of Blues at 7:30 p.m., Doors open at 7 p.m.
December 11
- An amazing lineup will appear at 94/9’s Holiday Hootenanny this year; featuring artist The Black Keys, Against Me!, The Temper Trap, Sleigh Bells and Tokyo Police Club. Show starts 6p.m. at UCSD’s RIMAC arena. $40 a ticket at the Price Center Box Office or online.
December 12
- 2010 Wrex the Halls at Viejas Arena on the campus of SDSU will include Switchfoot, Smashing Pumpkins, My Chemical Romance, Bad Religion, and Jimmy Eat World. Tickets are now on sale. Get them while you can.
- Daniel Ledisko of LA Riots and Sam Adams will perform at the House of Blues at 8 p.m.
- Brooke Fraser is going to entertain the crowds at the Casbah, doors open at 8:30 p.m.
December 14
- The Casbah will host Horse Feather, Y La Bamba, Chairs Missing, and Cry For Us Black Swans all one night for $8, Doors open at 8:30p.m.
December 15
- Billy Idol is in SD with a concert at the House of Blues. The show kicks off at 8 p.m., tickets are available online.
December 16
- Listen to the Kottonmouth Kings at the House of Blues, show starts at 7:30 p.m., tickets $20.
- White Buffalo will be performing at the Casbah at 8:30 p.m.
December 18
- Rob Halford of Judas Priest is going to be rocking the house at the 4th and B at an 8 p.m. gig. Doors open at 7 p.m.
December 23
- American jazz fusion band Hiroshima will be performing at Anthology on Dec. 23 at 7:30 p.m. The band is most well known for fusing Japanese music with other forms. Get your tickets here.
December 29
- Steel Panther is going to perform at the House of Blues at 8 p.m. and tickets are on sale here.
December 30
- The Dresden Dolls take the stage at the House of Blues. Tickets went on sale Nov. 11.
January 11-12
- Jared Leto and the rest of 30 Seconds to Mars will be performing at the House of Blues for two nights, both nights start at 6:30 p.m. Ticket info is online here.
January 13-14
- Rebelution is playing at the House of Blues as a part of their Winter Greens Tour. The show starts at 7pm with doors opening at 6 p.m. both nights.
January 15
- Enjoy the company of Joan Rivers at the Balboa Theatre at 8 p.m. this evening.
January 18
- Catch The Album Leaf with The Hot Moon at the Casbah. Tickets are on sale now.
January 21
- The Estate of Michael Jackson and Cirque du Soleil are joining together for The Immortal World Tour at Valley View Casino. Tickets are on sale now online.
January 22
- Chris Carrabba with Dashboard Confessional will perform at the House of Blues as a part of their Swiss Army Romance Tour celebrating their 10th anniversary. The music starts at 7:30 p.m., get tickets here.
January 29
- See Amos Lee with Vusi Mahlasela at the House of Blues at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $22 online.
February 2
- British alternative rock group Interpol is playing at UCSD’s RIMAC arena. Tickets on sale now, show starts at 8 p.m.
February 4
- Comedian Lisa Lampanelli is going to be at the Spreckels Theatre for a 7:30 p.m. show. Tickets are on sale here.
February 10
- Judy Collins comes to the 4th & B at 8 p.m. Fans can get their tickets online here.
February 15
- Spend an evening with Tommy Emmanuel and friends at their show that kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at the Balboa Theatre. Tickets are on sale here.
February 19
- Social Distortion is playing live with Lucero at the House of Blues at 7:30 p.m. Doors open an hour early and tickets are on sale here.
February 20
- Catch Social Distortion again at the the House of Blues for another night at 8 p.m. Get your tickets here.

- Fans can celebrate Bob Marley at the Bob Marley Fest at Valley View Casino. Tickets will be on sale here.
February 24
- Comedian Maz Jobrani is performing to the House of Blues at 8 p.m. Get your tickets for the show online.
March 2
- Crystal Castles is coming to San Diego for a show at the House of Blues at 8 p.m. Fans can get their tickets here.
March 22

March 29

April 4
