With the economy fluctuating up and down so rapidly, a lot of people are feeling financial uncertainty. Even other countries are adding to the unstable economic behavior of this economy. It is only natural for people to want to panic and not know what to do.

Steve Sexton reminds us, that before you panic, you should be asking a lot of questions. You need to understand where your money is going in terms of fees, charges, and taxes to the services you pay for. You may be expecting a large return from your investment but only see a portion of it due to money lost through these payments. The goal is to minimize these payments as much as possible.

Steve Sexton also explains before doing any type of investing, it is important to ask yourself five very important questions.

  1. Have you reviewed your personal financial situation, and how is it in your best interest?
  2. How will this affect your taxes no and in the future?
  3. How will this affect my income needs?
  4. How does it affect my risk/comfort level?
  5. How will the affect the transition of my estate to my heir?

These are questions that require a lot of thought and reflection, and they need to be taken seriously before any type of investing takes place.
