The San Diego event will offer 75 pit stops where bikers can pick up free t-shirts, water and snacks.  Bear Naked will be one of the local sponsors represented, a La Jolla-based all-natural granola company.

Bear Naked will be sampling its 100% pure and natural granola treats to help keep riders’ bodies energized during their commutes.  Their Pure & Natural Peak Energy Trail Mixes come in three flavors – Cranberry Almond, Pecan Apple Flax and Chocolate Cherry.

And if you ride to work on a regular basis, don’t forget to log your trips and track your savings.  SANDAG and the San Diego Area Transportation Partners offer you a link called TripTracker that will help you measure the savings of your alternative commute, both to your pocketbook and to the environment.  Every time you bike to work in May, log your trip in TripTracker, to be entered for chances to win prizes.

For those biking on Friday, May 20th, MTS and NCTD are offering FREE rides on all transit.

Bike to Work Day 2011 is brought to you in part by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the County of San Diego.
