Ryan Jenkins and Jasmine Fiore stayed at L’Auberge Del Mar

Quietly noted in all the craziness of the past week’s news of the grisly murder of ‘model’ Jasmine Fiore by the reality show contestant, Ryan Jenkins, is that the couple had checked into L’Auberge del Mar — a very upscale Hotel and Spa smack dab in the middle of Del Mar.

In true TV fashion, reality star Ryan Jenkins was found today, hanged in a motel room in British Columbia. Jenkins was the suspected killer of Jasmine Fiore who was found dead in Buena Vista Park. The last time Jasmine Fiore was seen alive was at the San Diego hotel, L’Auberge del Mar. Hotel management stated that they had fully cooperated with law enforcement and there was no evidence whatsoever that the murder took place on the property.

L’Auberge Del mar has been a winner of The Entertainer Best Awards in the past in the category of “Best Spa- Coastal” and has a reputation as a getaway for celebrities. Ranked among the best luxury resorts in the country by Condé Nast, as well, the resort has apparently been struggling with the economic realities, even though during the horseracing season things usually pick up a bit as high rollers often stay and play at the Resort while in town. It’s actually a great place to have a cocktail and people watch, despite its new place in the headlines.
