What’s Coming to Netflix in September

By  |

The streaming wars are heating up, and Netflix is gearing up for its September release schedule with some tremendous content. In-house produced shows and movies will take the spotlight this month, but there will also be a great variety of other films for your viewing pleasure. Let’s check out the top titles coming out this month.

Superbad – Sep. 1

One of the classics of the 2000s, Superbad tells the tale of soon-to-be high school graduates as they have their final hurrah of pre-college youth. Stacked with a who’s-who cast of comedy legends, Superbad is perfect for that lazy Saturday evening when you just need a good laugh.

The Spy – Sep. 9 – Netflix Original

Sacha Baron Cohen is well-known for stellar comedic roles, but in The Spy, he will be switching gears for a serious portrayal of Israeli spy Eli Cohen, an undercover operative who led a mission into Syria during the ’60s. This six-episode miniseries should be just what any espionage-esque fan needs.

Bill Burr: Paper Tiger – Sep 10 – Netflix Original

There’s no holding back from Burr on this scratching stand-up comedy special. Picking apart the ridiculous of the world we live in, there’s no chance you’re making it out of this one with multiple laughing attacks.

Unbelievable – Sep. 13 – Netflix Original

Kaitlyn Dever, Toni Collette, and Merrit Wever lead this limited series about a teenage girl who claims to have been sexually assaulted by a home invader but is met with doubts by investigators. When two female detectives begin to look into the case, they find a series of similar allegations, possibly leading to a single serial rapist. Based on a true story, this series is inspired by the Pulitzer-winning story about the case.

Between Two Ferns: The Movie – Sep. 20 – Netflix Original

Zach Galinfakis is back on the road, armed with awkward questions and zero self-awareness. As he interviews more than a dozen big-name stars, including the likes of Matthew McConaughey and Brie Larson, be ready for plenty of deadpan cringey humor.

Inside Bill’s Brain: Decoding Bill Gates – Sep. 20 – Netflix Original

Bill Gates has made a massive impact on today’s world, and now, you have a chance to better understand the inner workings of his mind, along with his influences and the audacious goals he continues to pursue.

Abstract: The Art of Design Season 2- Sep. 25 – Netflix Original

It’s time to step into the world of some of the top innovative designers through a variety of disciplines as we get to see how design has an impact on virtually every aspect of life.

The Politician – Sep. 27 – Netflix Original

Payton has known since childhood he wanted to become President of the United States. But first, he must navigate the treacherous political atmosphere of high school. Starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Platt, and Jessica Lange, The Politician could be your next quirky drama show.
