Producer Dan Fogelman has fans restlessly awaiting Tuesdays at 9 pm each week for the drama, “This is Us.” Even people who claim, they “don’t cry” are clinging to Kleenex boxes, feeling emotionally connected to the characters in this show and excited for each new plot twist because of this NBC hit series.

For those of you who haven’t had the privilege of watching this show (yet), we don’t want to reveal too much information so you can experience the show to the full effect. ‘This is Us” revolves around one dysfunctional family by weaving in and out of the lives of each character and moving in and out of the past and present. The dysfunction stems from the physical and internal problems the lovable triplets, mother and father face, which undoubtedly tug on heartstrings and creates utmost anticipation.

Additionally, the cast of “This is Us” is the ultimate A-Team. Milo Ventimiglia, who plays Jack, is quite possibly the most loving father on television and a favorite character. Mandy Moore, pop singer and actress, plays a cold yet admirable mother named Rebecca. Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley and Sterling K Brown play the triplets in the present, which make up a large portion of the show.

Not only was “This is Us” nominated for 3 Golden Globes this year, it also has over 10 million viewers and received awards at the Critic’s Choice Award and from the American Film Institute. There has been one season so far, starting in September 2016 which returned this past January. It is expected to have three seasons for a total of 36 episodes.

“This is Us” is definitely sappy, but the problems the characters face are realistic and the relationships between the characters will inevitably cause tears in your eyes. If you haven’t watched this hit drama yet, make sure to tune into NBC this Tuesday at 9 pm central. Or, watch the trailer below and start from the beginning. Either way, you’re going to get hooked.
