Warning: If you haven’t watched the first ever episode of the Bachelorette 2017 season, refrain from reading forward because this article will contain some of the key details from the episode last night.

Last night, ABC aired the first episode of the Bachelorette 2017 season, and welcomed back Rachel Lindsay to now be the star of the show. Lindsay is the first African American bachelorette/bachelor, is a successful attorney, and has an infectious personality you can’t help but die for. Hopefully, this will be Lindsay’s chance to forget about Nick Viall and move on to a bigger and brighter future with her soul mate.

This season, Lindsay has the opportunity to choose between 31 men and they did everything in their power to impress her tonight. In fact, one man brought out a marching band, and another man brought a freaky looking dummy that he continued to bring along with him.

Another man, Bryan, originally from Columbia, brought his A-game because he complimented Lindsay in Spanish and this instantly swept her off her feet. The instant connection between Lindsay and Bryan was vivid and Lindsay actually gave him the first impression rose. Considering Lindsay got the first impression rose from Viall, it was very important to her that she pick the right guy and understood the brevity of it. This was already a big step for Lindsay and we can expect that Bryan will be on the show for the long haul.

However, Lindsay’s relationships with these potential candidates might be secondary to the drama between the men this season. Even though it was the first episode, the men were bickering like cats and dogs. Also, in the preview for the rest of the season, one man was even seen getting punched and blood was shed.

Will Rachel find her one true love? Is there too much testosterone in the Bachelor pad this season? We will keep you posted each week with recaps and spoilers. Stay tuned.
