With fall arriving very soon, there are many new and returning shows coming back to TV. Television is in its golden age right now, with tons of binge-worthy content coming out all the time. Check out these great shows coming soon for the fall season.

Shameless – September 9 on Showtime

The Gallagher family is returning to Showtime, with season 9 being the last time Emmy Rossum will reprise her role as Fiona Gallagher. Expect the new season to live up the absolute absurdity of this show.

The Last Ship – September 9 on TNT

Entering its final season, The Last Ship has shown every sign of bringing forth a strong final offering for viewers.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse – September 12 on FX

In this crossover season, we will see characters from the “Murder House” seasons of AHS meet with those from the “Coven” season. This highly anticipated season is bringing back the likes of beloved past characters like Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, and Sarah Paulson.

Big Bang Theory  – September 24 on CBS

This hit sitcom will be entering its final season as CBS’ highest-rated comedy. After several cast members turned down the chance to extend their contract, the producers will be wrapping up the show.

NCIS – September 25 on CBS

Now in its 16th season, NCIS is still going strong with a star-studded cast continuing to wow viewers.

This is Us – September 25 on NBC

Have a box of tissues on hand when season 3 premieres, as the Pearsons are back. Get ready for laughs, tears, and everything in between.

The Walking Dead – October 7 on AMC

The undisputed king of the zombie shows will be returning, with this ninth season being the final one for lead actor Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick. While this show has lost a bit of the buzz in recent season, all fingers point to this season being an absolute hit.

Riverdale – October 10 on The CW

This comic book adaptation has proven to be a total hit with audiences. Riverdales characters are complex and well written, and the intrigue is enough to pull you in by the first episode.  

Charmed – October 14 on The CW

One of several reboots happening this fall season, Charmed will feature a brand new cast following three sister witches and how they navigate their new-found powers.

The Conners – October 16 on ABC

This Roseanne spinoff will continue the blue-collar sitcom without former star and comedian Roseanne Barr. The show will feature the Conner family, with the show likely to bring forth an in-universe loss of Roseanne’s character early on.

House of Cards – November 2 on Netflix

Following Kevin Spacey’s departure from the show, all power has absorbed by Robin Wright as she portrays the new face of the Underwood administration. Considering her performance in previous seasons, the final season of House of Cards will be something to look for.
