San Diego County Fair: Deals and discounts for the frugal fair-goer
“Game on!” is the theme for the 2013 San Diego County Fair. The Fair will spotlight classic and nostalgic games and show how these have evolved over the years; from board games and pinball, to television, videos and computers, technology has enhanced the gaming culture beyond our dreams.The 2013 Fair is continuing now through July 4 (closed Mondays, except July 1).

Ways to save:
There are many ways the frugal fair-goer can enjoy the fair and save money at the same time! Here are some links to websites providing ways to save on fair tickets:
• Reading Certificate — Children read 10 books and get in free any day.
Buy $12 adult admission tickets at Albertsons in San Diego or southern Riverside counties (a savings of $2). You also can buy senior and child tickets there at regular price, then bypass the ticket purchasing line at the Fair! Download a list of participating Albertsons stores [PDF]
Cash and credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express) accepted at the fair box office and ticket windows.

Additional Ticket Information:
Major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express) are accepted throughout the Fair. Individual vendors may accept only some of these credit cards. For convenience, several ATM machines are placed throughout the Fair. If you would like to leave the Fair and return the same day, get your hand stamped as you leave. If you leave a paid parking lot, you will need to pay again when you return.
