Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest to Co-Host ‘Live’

Ever Since Michael Strahan left for ‘Good Morning America,’ Kelly Ripa has been on the hunt for a new co-host to join her on ‘Live.’ Undoubtedly, Ripa struck gold because America’s favorite entertainer, Ryan Seacrest, was just announced as her new right hand man.

Ripa’s daily morning show, now titled as the syndicated series ‘Live with Kelly and Ryan,’ announced the news at the beginning of the Monday edition on ABC. Seacrest, who has celebrity co-hosted on ‘Live’ several times, makes a bold career shift in joining the show. Since it has been a year after the end of American Idol, which Seacrest hosted for 15 seasons, he is now returning to a regular broadcast setting.

Unquestionably, Seacrest is one of the biggest players in the media industry. Not only was he a memorable asset to ‘American Idol,’ but he also is an American radio personality as the host of ‘IHeartRadio’ during the week and ‘American Top 40’ on the weekend. Moreover, he’s worked with Dick Clark on his Annual New Years Eve Special and fostered entertainment on E!News. He’s also started a personal clothing line, Ryan Seacrest Distinction, and a coming skin care line is in the works. I know what you’re thinking, what doesn’t he do?

Answer: Seacrest does it all. He won’t be moving from Los Angeles anytime soon, but will spend most of his week in New York. Miraculously, Seacrest’s radio show will still air at the same time, from 6 am-6 pm Pacific Time, even though the timing will overlap with ‘Live.’ Instead of changing the time, Seacrest will record part of his radio show and will have his own recording studio in New York. How does he do it all?

Answer: If anyone can manage all of these jobs at once, it’s Seacrest. In fact, as he was announced as the new co-host he said, “so happy” as he embraced Ripa and smiled from ear to ear. Then, he looked to the audience and said, “so exciting.” SD Entertainer is excited, too!
