What do Umami Burgers, Lindsay Lohan and George Clooney all have in common besides Los Angeles?

They are all being talked about right now! In this Entertainer Quickie we have an update on Umami burgers’ inception,  Lindsay Lohan’s proposed jail time and George Clooney’s reasons for rejecting political office.

Umami Burgers Born in LA

Umami Burgers are trending now and why?  Because they are said to be the new burger reborn…with Japanese influence, Asian flavors and abounding fresh pizazz.  Even the name “umami” is taken from the Japanese word that means “savoriness” as it supposedly represents our fifth taste or a creative combination of all known four basic tastes: sweet, sour, bitter, salty and savory.

According to Shine from Yahoo!’s article, Adam Fleischman runs a Umami Burger chain in LA and his original location in La Brea, CA has renovated the burger experience to even include valet parking! Fleischman says his new umami burger satisfies a craving “which cannot be explained.”

Lindsay Lohan in Jail?

According to USA Today Lifeline Live, Judge Keith Schwartz met with Lindsay Lohan and her lawyer today to further consider the case of the stolen jewelry and made  it sounds like jail time would be inevitable.  He repeatedly told Lohan and her lawyer that he treats “everybody the same. I don’t care if you’re Lindsay Lohan or John Doe or Jane Doe.”

Lohan’s parents were in the courtroom as well and after the hearing her father commented to the  press outside, “Jail is not the place for my daughter.”

George Clooney’s Bong Water

George Clooney rejects running for political office stating women and drugs as his reasons for sitting it out. According to his recent Newsweek article, Clooney says in jest, “I did it all. I drank the bong water. Now let’s talk about issues. That’s gonna be my campaign slogan: I drank the bong water.”

But Clooney-coined-statesman is in no way sitting it out.  He continues to work with war-torn Sudan saying, “My job is to amplify the voice of the guy who lives here and is worried about his wife and children being slaughtered.”

Clooney will continue to shout this message of Sudan’s independence all the while preparing for his next movie role as….a presidential candidate in the upcoming film, “The Ides of March.”
