Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announce: It’s a boy

Star couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner brought home a healthy baby boy on Monday, and his name is Samuel. The name is relatively “normal” when compared to the more elaborate names of his two older sisters, Violet Anne, age 6, and Seraphina Rose Elizabeth, age 3. It’s a great name nonetheless considering other great Samuels in history: Samuel Adams and Samuel L. Jackson.

The Oscar-winning writer, director, actor, and father is particularly excited, as Affleck has been hoping for a son after having two consecutive baby girls, which to his dismay has made it a 3 to 1 female to male ratio in the household. Excited over the news of his newborn baby son, Affleck was quick to alert the social media:

“We are happy to announce on February 27, Jennifer gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Samuel Garner Affleck,” says Ben Affleck via Facebook.

After tying the knot in 2005 at an exclusive Caribbean wedding, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, of “Alias” and “Juno” fame, have proved to have one of the most successful celebrity marriages today, going into their seventh year as a happily married couple. And with the arrival of their healthy baby boy Samuel, things are looking bright for the Garner Affleck Family.

America‘s favorite Guidette, Nicole Polizzi, a.k.a. Snooki, is reportedly three months pregnant with her main squeeze Jionni La Valle’s baby. While the reality star has remained quiet, rumors of the pregnancy are everywhere. The couple met two years ago at Seaside Heights, New Jersey, and have now been dating for over a year. Sources close to the couple say La Valle is the perfect match for the “Jersey Shore” star, a simple Italian man studying to be a teacher, and a far cry from the “gorilla” types seen partying on the show.

The news of her pregnancy may or may not be reason to fist pump for fans of the hit MTV reality show. The news certainly has MTV execs in panic mode, as Snooki was expected to start production of a spin-off show starring herself and fellow Guidette Jenni J-Woww Farley. She has reportedly sold her story to Us Weekly, and has expressed excitement over her new role as mommy, proclaiming herself as “the next Kourtney Kardashian.”
