Coachella 2013 Lineup

By  |

Coachella 2012Coachella Music Festival is officially sold out, and in almost no time at all. This year’s lineup may have had something to do with that.

Coachella has always succeeded in its goals of giving to the fans the music they desired and need.

“Goldenvoice, which owns and books the festival, has long pushed at the fringes of festival booking while delivering on its promise to present the world’s most engaging rock, dance, avant-pop, hip hop and legacy acts” (LA Times).

The Coachella 2013 Music Festival will be taking place on April 12-14 and April 19-21 in Indio, California. Rain or shine, the camping grounds will open on Thursday at 9:00 before each weekend performance. The gates are scheduled to open at 11:00 am each day and fans are required to wear their Festival passes at all times.

After reading the list, this year’s Coachella two-weekend event seems to be a very promising one. With bands such as the legendary Red Hot Chili Peppers and the reactivated Stone Roses scheduled to perform, the Festival should be very exciting to go to this year.

Coachella 2012 Day 2: Mazzy StarOther bands that are high on the list are the big Indie groups Vampire Weekend, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Phoenix. Additionally, there will be many alternative musicians to perform like Passion Pit, Tegan, Sarah, Modest Mouse, and Destroy Angels. The bands listed include the well-known alternative hip-hop group Jurassic 5 who will be appearing live on stage for the first time since their last appearance in 2007. Lets also not forget the bands that will be reuniting together to perform for the festival such as Blur and the Postal Service.
