Benefit Concert at Casbah to Raise Money for Susan G. Komen Foundation
Have you always wanted to get involved in Breast Cancer awareness and are just waiting for the next great opportunity? Well, it’s here! Rock the Walk, Inc. is melding the power of music with breast cancer awareness to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s Race for the Cure. Rock the Walk, Inc. has announced it will hold a charity concert called Team Brady Breast Cancer Benefit, hosted by club Casbah, on September 24th, 2009, where local residents and organizations can get involved in fundraising.
Headliners for the concert include local and national artists, such as Kelli Rudick, Gregory Page, Berkley Hart, and The Teeny Tiny Pit Orchestra. Jennifer Brady, Captain for the Race for the Cure Team says, “I want to spread the word of early detection and what better way to do it than through great music. I got my first mammogram at age 35 and it saved my life.”
Jennifer Brady is a breast cancer survivor and all proceeds from the Team Brady Breast Cancer Benefit will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation via Team Brady.
Not only will this event entertain through music, but you can also enter to win great prizes such as a Sony PLAYSTATION®3, a two-night stay at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club, a Tailor-made golf bag and a $100 gift certificate to the Marine Room. The doors will open at 8:00 P.M., and the show begins at 9:00 P.M. Tickets for Team Brady Breast Cancer Benefit are $15 and can be purchased online in advance at www.casbahmusic.com.
If you’re looking to get involved with this phenomenal charity performance, there will be a local affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation at the event signing up team members and providing informational and educational material. For additional information about the Team Brady Breast Cancer benefit and how you or your organization can be involved, contact Allison Gill at firstname.lastname@example.org or (619) 665-2254.
