American Idol Auditions coming to California

By  |

American Idol has announced that San Francisco, California will be one of the stops for the 2010 auditions. The bay area will be the last stop for the American Idol judges in the search for the next upcoming pop-star, and the only California stop!

We saw Los Angeles local, Allison Iraheta hit the panel of judges with her amazing vocals during the San Francisco auditions back in 2009, for the eighth season of the reality talent show. Iraheta had made it to the top 4 contestants along with San Diego local, Adam Lambert. Lambert made a lasting impression on the judges with his cover of “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
American Idol sure would be missing out on great talent if they didn’t venture back to the Golden State!

Since the success of Adam Lambert, it is apparent that being California-grown has its advantages. Lambert has made a name for himself in the entertainment world and has not been one to shy away from the lime-light. His current single “Whataya Want From Me” has made it way to The Billboard Hot 100, and his controversial performances have definitely made some heads turn! I guess California just breeds the most creative, individualistic, and out-going artists in the country.

The auditions for season 10 will be held at the AT&T Park located at 24 Willie Mays Plaza, San Francisco, CA 94107. They will be passing out wristbands starting on August 17 at 7:00 am through August 18. Once you have a wristband, you will need to return on August 19th to start the audition process.

So, start tuning those guitars and warming up those vocals because the search for the new American Idol has begun!
