The Paranormal Activity 2 trailer released
Who would’ve thought a local film that took only $15,000 to produce would be coming out with a sequel 3 years later? Well much to our surprise, the director of Paranormal Activity is doing it again. With the release of Paranormal Activity in 2007, the world saw how one camera, one house, two actors, and a “demonic” presence can make anyone jump out of their seats from anticipation. Now, we are faced with the same fear with the release of Paranormal Activity 2, which is said to hit theaters in October.
The original film was set in a suburban house right here in San Diego. Katie and Micah, the couple that are the only two actors that appear in the film, had settled in their new home and began their lives together. Little did Micah know, Katie had a haunting past from childhood that involved this very “demonic” presence that the film is based upon.
The film was shot primarily in the house and at night when the most activity occurred. Throughout the film, you see dark shadows moving in the background and foot steps running along the floor. You hear quiet whispers from outside the bedroom door and Katie screaming. The simplicity of the film makes a viewer feel as though they are in the house with the Katie and Micah.
The look and feel of Paranormal Activity 2 will hold the same as the first film. The official trailer for Paranormal Activity 2 has hit the web and gives us a little sneak peak of what is to come; a baby sleeping, a frightened dog hearing noises, and an “empty” kitchen. Just don’t be surprised if you are jumping out of your seat while watching it.
