Kelly Osbourne surprises audience on “Dancing with the Stars”
Everyone is raving about the Kelly Osbourne’s shocking transformation on “Dancing with the Stars.”
Turning away from her rebellious rocker teen image on the celebrity reality show “The Osbournes,” she performed an elegant Viennese Waltz on Tuesday’s show. She surprised the audience and judges with her grace and feminine side that has not been seen before.
The judges described her as “confident, flowing and beautiful” and Osbourne received a standing ovation from the crowd. Her mother Sharon was watching her impeccable performance in tears.
Osbourne commented, “That was the most fun I ever had.”
In her long pink and purple gown, Osbourne received the second highest score of the night with her dance partner Louis van Amstel. On Twitter, she said “I still can’t get over how amazing last night was although this morning I feel like death. I’m so tired!”
Two outstanding performers other than Osbourne were supermodel Joanna Krupa and R&B singer Mya. Performing a great salsa, Krupa displayed her athleticism and received the highest score for the night. Mya’s elegant performance was impressive but the choreography was criticized by Len Goodman as being too far from a true Viennese Waltz, hurting her score.
On the other hand, former supermodel Kathy Ireland and singer Macy Gray may be in trouble. It was obvious that dancing did not come naturally to Ireland as she showed difficulty keeping up with the beat of the music. Partner Jonathan Roberts described Gray as “a little bit eccentric,” and her performance lacked technique.
