Last week on the segment, Sexton addressed a few of the most asked questions; when can they retire and with our current economy what should be their comfort level with risk?

Vacationing can be a pre-cursor for retirement and it usually does raise the question of, “when can I retire?” Steve Sexton is constantly asked this question and suggests having a thorough financial analysis. There are numerous factors to consider such as inflation, and the individual’s income need.

Steve also discusses the concerns people have regarding their comfort level with risk. Are you still working? If you were to lose a certain percent would you be able to make that up if you were to retire? If you can’t you might want to scale back the risk.  Those are the type of questions Steve suggests asking yourself.  It’s very important for people to realistic with the risk level and that is why it is important to see a financial advisor.
