All Americans were drastically affected by the attacks that took place on September 11th, 2001. It is hard to believe it has been 8 since the attacks, but memories of 9/11 will last forever in the hears of Americans and San Diegans.

In San Diego, there are numerous local events remembering the tragedy and those who died as well as service projects dedicated to giving back. Today has been declared a national day of service, so many events will involve giving back to the community in remembrance and in honor of those that lost their lives.

San Diego resident for over 10 years, I now call this beautiful city home. Originally from the Bay Area, I'm a California girl at heart. I love the outdoors, fitness, food, and a good craft beer (from San Diego of course).
