How To Enjoy Cannabis Without Smoking It

By  |

It’s happened to the best of us – fiddling around with a lighter and a makeshift cannabis pipe. Inhaling harsh smoke and practically coughing your lungs up. Sometimes, you just want to enjoy cannabis without the negative aspects of torching it. Luckily, there are plenty of ways for you to still enjoy it without doing so.

Vaporizing

Scorching your cannabis isn’t necessary for you to enjoy its benefits. With vaporizing, you are heating up the cannabis at a much lower temperature that is far less harmful than burning it. With vaporizing, you can really enjoy the subtle tastes of various cannabis strains, with small handheld devices allowing you to enjoy cannabis flower and oil on-the-go.

Edibles

Marijuana edibles are another highly popular way to consume cannabis, and nowadays, you can find just about any form of edibles. Cannabis butter or oil can be infused into virtually anything, so you’re bound to find something you like. Just remember: start with a lower dose and be patient while it’s kicking in. An edible cannabis high is much different than just smoking it, and can be much more intense if you ingest too much.

Tinctures

This includes infused liquids that are used to extract cannabinoids using an alcohol soak that is typically applied directly under the tongue. When administering a tincture, the cannabis hits your bloodstream immediately, with effects becoming noticeable very quickly. This is helpful as you can accurately gauge your dose and your overall experience. Tinctures come in a variety of different flavors and potentials that cater to a wide range of needs.

Ingestible Oils

Typically found in capsules, ingestible oils are essentially cannabis concentrate that is taken orally. Ingestible cannabis oils pack a similar punch to edibles, so be sure to remain mindful of how much you are taking.

Dabbing

Similar to vaporizing, dabbing involves a dropped cannabis concentrate on a heated water-pipe attachment, and are characterized for their extremely potent effects. The attachment is typically heated up using a butane torch, which sounds somewhat edgy, but the results produce a clean experience that is free of any harmful material that you’ll get from smoking cannabis the traditional way.

Topical

If you want to experience the therapeutic effects of cannabis without getting high, topicals are the way to go. If you’re experiencing pain, soreness, or inflammation in a particular area, topical cannabis can be applied for localized relief, leaving you clear headed and ready to go about your day.
