San Diego County’s biggest outdoor summer event is gearing up for a fun-filled car-themed extravaganza! Formerly known as the Del Mar Fair, San Diego County Fair at the Del Mar Fairgrounds rolls into town this year on Friday, June 10 through Monday, July 4.

The theme “Race to the Fair” calls out to every car lover and enthusiast alike.  For 22 days, the fair will feature exotic cars, luxury cars, “star” cars, muscle cars, low riders and more from throughout automotive history.  There will also be agricultural features that show different farming equipment and farm animals.

And for all of those who enjoy traditional fair goodies, the  San Diego County Fair has it all.  There will be thrill rides and games for the young and young-at-heart, a wide variety of food to devour from the wackiest fried pickle to a plain ol’ hotdog, a flower and garden show, and exhibitors with all sorts of interesting items from little knickknacks to beautiful artwork for you to peruse and purchase.

Music lovers of all kinds will find the Fair’s line-up hard to resist.  Almost every day will feature a different artist for fair-goers to enjoy live.  Come listen to your rock favorites Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo on opening night, Friday, June 10; and see Bruno Mars and Janelle Monáe: Hooligans in Wondaland on Saturday, June 11.  The Beach Boys will bring their beloved California vibe to the Fair on Wednesday, June 29.  Other acts to look forward to this year are Randy Travis, Switchfoot, Melissa Etheridge, Neon Tree and  REO Speedwagon with the Navy Band Southwest.
