San Diego Startup Hosting Casino Night to Benefit Rady Children’s Hospital

Carlsbad startup Raken, a top-rated mobile field management company will be hosting a casino night event to help raise money for Rady’s Children’s Hospital in San Diego. The event will take place on Thursday, September 26 at Make Amphitheater. 

Hopefully your luck is at an all-time high, because there will games like blackjack, poker, roulette, and craps. A variety of exciting prizes will be raffled off, along with a silent auction. Food and drinks will be available to accompany your casino-filled night, while live music will be blasting courtesy of DJ Zaya. A $25 general admission ticket includes two drinks and two raffle tickets. Feeling like a high roller? Spring for a $50 premium admission, which includes two drinks, five raffle tickets and casino starter money. 

“Rady Children’s Hospital has supported my family and several other Raken families through some of our most challenging times,” said Raken founder and CEO Kyle Slager. “The staff is inspirational in how they show up every day to take on some of the most difficult challenges imaginable. I know I speak for the whole Raken tribe when I say we’re excited for the opportunity to give back.”

Rady Children’s Hospital operates as a nonprofit, 524-bed pediatric-care facility that has made a tremendous impact on thousands of children’s lives. The hospital is dedicated exclusively towards pediatric health care, and operates as the region’s only designated pediatric trauma center. 

Rady Children’s Hospital is reliant upon the generous donations and volunteer work of the public to continue its daily operations and pediatric health-care research. More than half of the hospital’s patients having little to no insurance, so all donations go towards supporting families to be able to afford treatment.

“We want our Casino Night guests to have a great time,” Slager said. “They’ll be giving to a wonderful organization simply by being there, so we definitely want to give them the incentive of having an enjoyable experience.”

If you want to show up in support and indulge in a fun casino night, the evening begins at 4:30 PM. There is no dress code, but if you’re feeling good and want to sport your fanciest casino wear, feel free to do so!
