2019 Mardi Gras Celebrations in San Diego
Mardi Gras is right around the corner, and if you’re looking for how you’re going to celebrate, there are plenty of incredible opportunities to do just that in San Diego. Check out these awesome Mardi Gras events taking place in the city, and be ready to party!
2019 San Diego Gaslamp Mardi Gras – $35 + fees
Taking place on March 1, 2, and 5, this celebration is happening in the Gaslamp Quarter and is packed with tons of activities. Indulge in a wide range of festivities including live music, themed parties, drink specials, and tons of other perks. The Club Pass includes free admission to 20+ restaurants and nightclubs in the area, with finale parties taking place at Bassmnt, Parq, and Omnia. Your ticket will also include free admission to the opening party at American Junkie.
Six String Society Mardi Gras Cruise – tickets start at $40
The 3rd annual Six String Society Mardi Gras cruise will be taking place on March 9. The cruise will feature a four hour cruise around the San Diego along with eight of San Diego’s finest musical acts, along with a great dinner, drinks, and dessert.
Big Easy Bites and Booze Tour – $25
This Mardi Gras celebration is packed with plenty of drinks, bites, and beads. With 20 Mardi Gras inspired small plates to try and 10 participating restaurants, if you collect beads from each location, you will gain entrance to an exclusive VIP after party that will be filled with music, dancing, and entertainment.
17th Annual Hillcrest Mardi Gras – $10-$15
Taking place on March 5th, this fun and wild neighborhood-wide party bus party crawl is taking over Hillcrest. Time to break out your masks, beads, and creative costumed, as this party will take you all throughout the best bars and clubs of Hillcrest. The Party Pass will give you free cover and access to exclusive deals throughout the night, along with special giveaways and performances.
The Mardi Gras 5K and 10K – $40-$55
If you want to get a little active before the night’s festivities, then this Mardi Gras trail run is the event for you. Get your sweat on and join this celebration taking place at Rancho Bernardo Community Park. There will be beads, masks, and plenty of celebrations. Bring the kids along too, as there will be a 1 mile Fun Run/Walk and Kid’s Dash. Other activities include a costume contest and a Finish Line Festival.
