If fashion is your kind of thing, then the Breeders Cup is the perfect place to show off. It is a tradition at the racetrack to come dressed in your finest, with a dress code being mandatory for those sitting at the Turf Club at Del Mar. Men will want to come with a suit or sport jacket, tie being optional. Ladies will want to wear suits or daytime dresses. The weather in November will be beautiful with the temperatures hovering around the mid-70’s. Some classic looks that are common at the races include the all-white dress/suit, complete with a white hat for the ladies and a blue or purple pocket square for the men. If you prefer a bold dash of color, then break out the vivid sports coat or dress that you’ve been dying to wear. If you count yourself among the bravest of fashionistas, then come dressed in wild prints or patterns. Whether it be a polka dotted red dress, or a blue striped sport coat with a checkered bow tie, you’ll feel right at home while at the Breeders Cup.
