2016 Stone Homebrew Competition taking place November 12

By  |

The 2016 Stone Homebrew Competition will take place at the American Homebrewers Association Rally at Stone Liberty Station on Saturday, November 12th from 11am – 2pm. The event, while not part of the San Diego Beer Week festivities, is a great way to tie together a great week of delicious beer. Because what better way salute to quality brews than to celebrate those homebrewers that push the limits of the industry with creativity and innovation. There is no doubt that those judging these homebrews will be tasting some of the highest quality brews available.

This is one of many events put on by The American Homebrewers Association (AHA), which hosts a series of Rallies nationwide to give homebrewers the chance to check out some of their local breweries and connect with other beer enthusiasts and homebrewers in their area. The event will feature an opportunity to win great prizes from Stone and the AHA, as well as the chance to try – and vote on – beers from some of the best homebrewers in the county.

The winning homebrewer will be given the opportunity to work with the Stone brewing team to scale their recipe for a commercial release in 2017.

Rallies are free for current AHA members. Non-members can join online, or sign up for a discounted member rate at the Rally. They ask that you RSVP for the event.

San Diego resident for over 10 years, I now call this beautiful city home. Originally from the Bay Area, I'm a California girl at heart. I love the outdoors, fitness, food, and a good craft beer (from San Diego of course).
