Still Time to Grab a Drink for a Good Cause

By  |

It’s Negroni Week around the world. Negroni Week launched in 2013 as a celebration of one of the world’s great cocktails and an effort to raise money for charitable causes. Through June 7, more than 1,300 bars around the globe will be toasting to good causes, including 50 San Diego bars which will be mixing their favorite Negroni variations and donating a portion of proceeds to a charity of their choice.

Participating bars and their charities are listed at the end of the article.

If you’ve never had a Negroni or Campari before, or are interested in making a drink at home, we’ve got some great recipes for you, courtesy of some celebrities that love them:

1 oz. Cinzano Prosecco

Build ingredients over ice in rocks glass. Garnish with an orange slice.

evaEva Green – Bond Girl Passion

This year marks the third annual Negroni Week, during which restaurants and bars around the world will be serving up awesome riffs on this beloved concoction. Even better, a portion of proceeds from every Negroni sold will be donated to the charity of each bar’s choice, and Campari will donate an additional $10,000 to the top fundraising establishment’s charity. San Diego resident for over 10 years, I now call this beautiful city home. Originally from the Bay Area, I'm a California girl at heart. I love the outdoors, fitness, food, and a good craft beer (from San Diego of course).
