If you love to let your mind wonder, view art installations and travel through creative spaces, you’re in luck. San Diego is the first stop on a cross-country tour art event, called Wonderspaces, unlike any carnival we’ve seen before.

For only $24, you can go to this family-friendly event that will be located in a gigantic white tent in Mission Valley. Inside the tent, there will be virtual reality movies, sculptures with the ability to manipulate your perception, and huge art-room installations. Additionally, all profits from beer and wine sales go to local arts non profits.

As far as tickets go, every ticket will have a specific date and time. Considering the event is in a tent, there are a limited number of tickets available per entrance and entrance times run every 30 minutes from opening to one hour before closing.  You must go at your selected time and you can show your mobile version of the ticket by either text or email.

Expect to spend about two hours in total at the tent, but you can spend however long as you want at Wonderspaces. The average watch time is one hour and thirty minutes for one of the three virtual reality films. Wait times for VR films vary; and the organizers recommend you visit as early in the day as possible.

All ages are welcome and invited to come to the event. There is only one film that is for kids under the age of 13-years-old, Show it 2 Me by Titmouse. The other two films do require parental guidance, but there are a lot of other activities for children to do at the art event aside from the virtual films.

Hopefully, this art event will induce amassed success, so the organizers can continue on their cross country journey. Even though it might be risky, we are assuming the best outcome possible.

Make sure to go to Wonderspaces and see it all pan out for yourself.
