Patio Playhouse stages The Foreigner, Larry Shue’s popular comic romp. The play opens Oct. 23 and runs through Nov. 15

Charlie, a painfully shy man who reluctantly accompanies his friend on a trip to a rural Georgia hunting lodge, pretends to neither speak nor understand English to avoid interacting with fellow guests. He is stunned and amazed by the things people will confide to “a foreigner.”
