New in Music: Kendrick Lamar, Gucci Mane, and John Mayer

New music from some of your favorite musicians has just been released. Kendrick Lamar, Gucci Mayne, and John Mayer released new albums and remixes fit for every mood. If you haven’t listened to their newest songs yet, we have the information you need with our favorite songs and latest news.

Kendrick Lamar’s New Album

Rapper Kendrick Lamar dropped his fourth album titled, ‘Damn,’ on Thursday. Lamar must have predicted the future when he chose this name considering fans everywhere are repeating, “Damn, this is good.” After 2015’s ‘To Pimp a Butterfly,’ we didn’t think Lamar could get any better. However, Damn takes the lyrics deeper and moves the artist to another level. Some of our favorites include, ‘Humble’ and ‘DNA,’ so make sure to check him out on Spotify. Also, catch him at Coachella this weekend!

Gucci Mane Remix

Both Lamar and Gucci Mane dropped music at the same time. Needless to say, “damn.” ATL rapper Gucci Mane released a remix to the standout song, “Both,” on his album, ‘The Return of East Atlanta Santa’ and the remix includes a verse by Lil Wayne. We were worried Lil Wayne dropped off the deep end, but he brought his seamless bars to the mix. Gucci Mane is currently on his Trap God Tour and will also play this weekend at Coachella. His 11th album, ‘Drop Top Wizop,’ is in the works.

John Mayer New Album

Arguably one of the most angelic singers, John Mayer, is back after over three years being album-free. His 12-track set titled ‘The Search for Everything’ dropped today and included four previously unreleased works from the first two ‘Wave EPs.’ To our dismay, Mayer announced via Twitter that this will be his last ever album. John Mayer fans, “half of my heart” broke, too. Nonetheless he ended on a high note with ‘The Search For Everything.’ Listen to “Emoji of a Wave” on Spotify and find out for yourself.
