If you’re looking for a fun date activity or just a night out with some laughs, come out and watch SDAFF’s First Live Stand-Up Comedy Night. Some of the funniest up and coming Asian comedians will leave you rolling with laughter with their quick wit and refreshing originality.

The Comedy Night will take place this Thursday, October 22nd at the Hazard Center in the UltraStar Mission Valley Cinemas. The show starts at 7:00 PM with headliners such as the Kollaboration comedians Randall Park (MTV’s “Wild ‘N Out”) PK, Monrok, and Walter Hong.

If spending a night out with the girls or hanging with the guys is more your style, unwind this Saturday, October 24th with Blowfish: An Intersection of Light and Sound. This popular hip hop showcase will energize and excite with headliners such as Lyrics Born, Kero One, and members of the Visionaries. The event takes place at Canes Bar & Grill and goes from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Tickets are $15 if you RSVP at blowfish@sdaff.org or $18 at the door.

If you really want to throw yourself into the Festival’s cultural expression and art, join the SDAART NOW: An Actor’s Workshop this Saturday afternoon, October 24th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Held at the Doubletree Hotel in Mission Valley, this workshop gives young actors a chance to gain practical advice from local experts on the acting business, agents, auditions, and headshots. Special guest Randell Park will also be there to offer his expertise.
