In the post-Superbowl buzz, fans are probably discussing the impressive Saints interception or their emergence as the fair champions, but still more chatter of another topic: the Superbowl commercials. Of the 60 commercials that aired in the 2010 Superbowl, here are just a few of the highlights: the Betty White commercial for Snickers, the Leno and Letterman commercial, and the Google commercial. Looking for the best commercials in Super Bowl history? This year, viewers from all over will share some burgers and beers as they bet to see whether the New Orleans Saints or Indianapolis Colts will take home the Super Bowl XLIV championship trophy and title. They will also be watching some of the best commercials, each one funnier and more amazing than the next.
If you watched the Grammys last Sunday then you know that Beyonce’, Taylor Swift, and the Black Eyed Peas were the big winners of the night, but you may not know that among them was also Steve Vaus, a Poway resident. Vaus won the Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album for Children. Other nominees included Ed Asner and an album dedicated to Nelson Mandella. Steve Vaus is better known as Buck Howdy, a children’s entertainer who has been nominated four times in the past three years. “As a professional artist, there is no higher honor than to win a Grammy,” stated Vaus.
The Entertainer’s Local Music Alliance Play List Vol.4 was released Monday, February 1st. The fourth edition of the playlist features a great variety of ten local songs from San Diego artists free for download. The Local Music Alliance program was started last September as part of the Entertainer’s effort to support the thriving local music scene.
Buying presents is one of the best excuses I know for getting a shopping high. If the elements of anonymity or surprise are included, it can even be squeezed into the “random acts of kindness” category.
