Wetten Dass Accident

The popular German reality show often features dare devils performing dangerous stunts in front of a live studio audience. Over the weekend contestant Samuel Koch successfully flipped head first over a series of vehicles, increasing in size. Tragically, as he attempted the final jump (with his father behind the wheel), Koch was struck by the vehicle as he flipped over it. The studio audience and a reported 10 million viewers watched in horror as the stunt man lay motionless on the ground. He was rushed to the hospital where paralysis is expected. He is listed in critical condition.

Ben Roethlisberger’s broken nose

In the Sunday football game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers, an unexpected hit was taken by Ben Roethlisberger that left him with a broken nose. The team and its fans are upset that no flag was thrown. In the video below you can see Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata hit to Roethlisberger. The hit came in the first quarter. The Steelers came away with a 13-10 victory.

Justin Timberlake injured on movie set

Timberlake was reportedly injured on the set of a new science fiction thriller he’s shooting (source: People.com). The calf muscle injury has haulted production to give Justin Timberlake time to recover, however it is not serious to slow down his appearance at a press junket to promote his role in the animated feature ‘Yogi Bear.’

Justin Bieber in UK after cancelling appearance on popular German show after accident left man paralyzed.

Justin Bieber made his way to London after calling off an appearance on the German TV show “Wetten, Dass…?” after contestant Samuel Koch was severely injured while performing a car jumping stunt on the program. Bieber tweeted “Just want to let my people in Germany know I won’t be on Wetten Dass tonight as an accident has taken place and… we all don’t think it is right to continue. Please pray for Samuel Koch & his family as we wait and hope for his health and safety.”

More Pirates of the Caribbean movies expected

The fourth “Pirates of the Caribbean” installment, “On Stranger Tides,” is still about 6 months away from release but Disney is already planning for a box office smash. They have hinted that two more films may be added to the Pirates saga.
