Ten San Diego Schools on Lockdown After Multiple Threats Made – Updated 11:57am

By  |

Several threats have been called into San Diego area schools this morning. The first call was made to Scripps Ranch High School around 9:30am and police arrived on scene shortly after. Additional treats have been made at Patrick Henry, San Diego, Crawford, Kearny and Clairemont high schools. Apparently some threats have reported shooters and others claim explosives.  At this time, each campus has been locked down so police can investigate. So far, none of the calls have resulted in any findings.

Lock down restrictions have shifted to precautionary and parents have been instructed not to pick up their students. No one is allowed to leave or enter while the investigation takes place. @SDSchools has tweeted, “Reassuring all students & schools are safe and secure. We will advise when lockdowns are lifted.”

San Diego resident for over 10 years, I now call this beautiful city home. Originally from the Bay Area, I'm a California girl at heart. I love the outdoors, fitness, food, and a good craft beer (from San Diego of course).
