Ricky Martin Engaged to Jwan Yosef, announces Vegas residency on Ellen

Ricky Martin appeared on Ellen Tuesday, November 15th with a two big announcements. First, he revealed that he will be a new resident performer at the Park Theater at Monte Carlo. No additional details about Martin’s Vegas performances have been released, but Ticketmaster shows that residency dates will be April 5 – April 15 and June 23 thru mid September. Cher is the current resident at Monte Carlo, with performances in February and May 2017.

Second, he announced that he is now engaged to Jwan Yosef. According to Wikipedia, Jwan Yosef is a Syrian born Swedish painter and artist of plastic arts based in London, England. The couple has been together about a year.

Early in his career, Martin kept much of his private life, including his sexuality, private. It wasn’t until March 2010 that he publicly acknowledged his homosexuality in a post on his official website stating, “I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am.”
