George Lopez’ show canceled, praises Sandra Bullock

TBS recently announced it would be canceling George Lopez’ show “Lopez Tonight,” issuing the following statement:

“TBS has reached the difficult decision not to order a third season of ‘Lopez Tonight.’ Thursday will be the final episode of the show. We are proud to have partnered with George Lopez, who is an immensely talented comedian and entertainer. TBS has valued its partnership with George and appreciates all of his work on behalf of the network, both on and off the air.”

Still, Lopez made sure to give credit where he thought it was due, citing actress Sandra Bullock as his “faerie godmother.”

And with that, and just who she is, she has my undying love, and my undying loyalty,” he said. “Every day I thank her for believing in me.”

Jennifer Love Hewitt reprises Lifetime role

Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt will be starring in the new Lifetime hour-long series “The Client List” sometime next year.

The show is based off of the 2010 original movie of the same title, which also starred Hewitt, and has been picked up for 10 episodes. The network also has a deal with Hewitt’s production company Fedora Films that includes a directing gig for Hewitt on a future Lifetime movie.

“The Client List” will star Hewitt as a Texas housewife who runs a brother in order to make ends meet after her husband leaves her. Her previous show “Ghost Whisperer” was canceled last year.
