2014 San Diego County Fair entertainment

The Big Names will be on the Big Stage this summer at the San Diego County Fair. Country, rock, pop, comedy, gospel, classic hits — it’s all part of the Toyota Summer Concert Series on the Heineken Grandstand Stage.

The theme for 2014 is “The Fab Fair”, a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the British Invasion. The Fair is held at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, 2260 Jimmy Durante Boulevard, Del Mar, California 92014. All shows start at 7:30 pm except on the 4th of July, which starts at 9:30 pm. * June 7 * Third Eye Blind * Bay Area alternative rockers known for their “Semi-Charmed Life”. *

* June 8 * Voz de Mando * Los Angeles-based Voz de Mando rose to fame with the hit single “Comandos del M.P. (500 Balazos).” *

* June 11 * Joe Nichols with Jana Kramer * Hits include “Broken-heartsville” and “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off.” *

* June 12 * Jeff Dunham * Dunham appears with his army of comedic characters, including Walter and Achmed, the Dead Terrorist. *

* June 13 * Darius Rucker * Founder of the rock band Hootie & The Blowfish whose singles include “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It.” *

* June 14 * Hunter Hayes * CMA choice as Best New Artist; his hits include “Storm Warning,” “Wanted” and “Somebody’s Heartbreak.” *

* June 15 * Ramón Ayala * Legend of norteño music, Ayala has recorded 100+ albums and received four Grammy Awards. *

* June 18 * Zendaya * Actress/singer Zendaya, currently recording her debut album, stars in Disney’s series “Shake It Up!” *

* June 20 * Smokey Robinson * With a career that spans four+ decades, his hits include “Tears of a Clown” and many more. *

* June 22 * Grupo Intocable * Intocable is a musical group from Zapata, Texas that fuses robust conjunto, folk rhythms, and pop balladry. *

* June 24 * Pentatonix * Pentatonix takes instrument-free music far beyond anyone’s wildest expectations. *

* June 25 * Digitour 2014 * DigiTour 2014 is the world’s first YouTube tour and music festival, bringing you the biggest YouTube stars live. *

* June 26 * The Fab Four * Paying tribute to The Beatles, join The Fab Four and time travel back to the ’60s for some of the greatest tunes. *

* June 27 * Larry Hernandez * The American Regional Mexican singer, composer, and television star from Los Angeles and Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico, and star of Larrymania will perform music from his 20+ releases.

* June 28 * 10th Annual Gospel Festival * Featuring Fred Hammond, a gospel artist with award-winning hits. *

* July 1 * Huey Lewis and the News * For nearly four decades, Huey Lewis and the News has been rocking the charts. *

* July 2 * REO Speedwagon * REO’s hits include showstoppers “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” “Keep On Loving You,” and more. *

* July 3 * Matisyahu * A blend of Orthodox Jewish themes for a contemporary style of reggae, rap, beatboxing, and hip-hop. *

* July 4 * America * America will lead the celebration on the Fourth of July with a show featuring their hits, such as “Ventura Highway,” “Sister Golden Hair,” and “A Horse With No Name.” This show also includes the traditional performance by the Navy Band Southwest and fireworks. *

* July 6 * Ezequiel Peña * A leader in both mariachi and banda, Peña was Grammy-nominated in 2007 for Best Banda Album. *
