The next installment of “The Dark Knight” series is scheduled to be released on July 20, 2012.

For those who are wondering whether the Riddler will be appearing, he will not be in this particular film. In May last year, Christopher Nolan, the film’s director, has confirmed that there will be no Mr. Freeze, no Riddler, no Penguin, and no Joker return.

So who will be the next villain? Or should I say villainess?

That’s right readers, Batman’s latest arch nemesis will be a woman, Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway). Kyle becomes the alluring and dangerous Catwoman.

It has recently been announced that dark character will be in the film, the villain Bane (Tom Hardy). According to an interview with Hardy, conducted by the Daily Blam, Hardy hopes to gain 30 pounds for his role. He says that Nolan will be revisiting the role in a different way.

Julie Newman was the first actress to portray Catwoman in the “Batman” TV series that aired back in 1966. During the show’s third season, Eartha Kitt replaced her.

Michelle Pfeiffer was the next actress that stepped up to the lady feline’s role. She portrayed beautifully as Catwoman in “Batman Returns” (1992). The last woman who starred as Catwoman was Halle Berry who performed the role for the film, “Catwoman” (2004). However the character’s alter ego was changed to Patience Phillips.

Now Anne Hathaway will be stepping into role with a new look for the Catwoman. A new photo was released showing the new Catwoman wearing a skintight jumpsuit with black goggles.

According to MTV News, Hathaway, 28, is excited to be filmed as the next Catwoman, but hasn’t revealed anything else about her role due to the “blood oath” she said she had signed.

The film will also include the usual cast of Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale), Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman), Alfred (Michael Cain), Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman), and a surprise reappearance of Liam Neeson as Ra’s al Ghul. Other people joining the cast will be John Blake (Joseph Gordon Levitt) and Miranda Tate (Marion Cotillard).

Sadly Nolan has admitted that this will be his last Batman movie. He plans to end the trilogy with “The Knight Rises.” Bale has also said that this will also be his final Batman film.

According to On Location Vacations, a, a source used for celebrity sightings and filming locations, Warner Bros plans on filming “The Dark Knight” from Aug. 10 and Aug. 20 in Pittsburgh.
