Financial Tip of the Week: 5 Questions to ask a Financial Sales Advisor

By  |

Since August 01, 2011 the market has fluctuated tremendously.  With the instability of the market people tend to act impulsively, thus making poor financial decisions. It’s common for people to chase the market, but because everyone has their own unique financial situation, it isn’t wise to take advice solely from an article you read, or a segment you watched on T.V.  The best way to educate yourself about your investments is to approach a financial sales advisor and to ask the following five questions:

1. How will you adequately review my personal financial situation and how is it in my best interest?

2. How will this affect my taxes each year and in the future?

3. What about my liquidity and my income?

4. What risks am I taking with my investments?

5. What will happen with my finances if something were to happen to me?
