A local sunglasses company born and raised right in the heart of Pacific Beach, San Diego, will be featured on the hit TV show West Texas Investors Club. Blenders Eyewear was launched in Spring 2012, and since has built itself into a brand associated with long days at the beach in Southern California. They are now appearing on the hit show West Texas Investors Club for a round of investments.
BlendersSan Diego is no stranger to successful crowd funding campaigns, as well as companies being featured on CNBC start-up shows. The hit show “Shark Tank” has featured successful companies based in San Diego including Tower Paddle Boards, who SD Entertainer interviewed earlier this year, as well as Bon Affair, a wine spritzer producer located in Solana Beach. Tipsy Elves, and the creators of the “Kitchen Safe” are based in San Diego as well.

West Texas Investors Club, similar to ‘Shark Tank’, airs every Tuesday night at 7pm. Blenders Eyewear will appear on episode 7 of the series aired on September 15, 2015. The local San Diego brand based in La Jolla, CA.

Blenders2Chase Fisher, born and raised in Santa Barbara, and Blake Jensen, born and raised in Seattle, created the brand in the spring of 2012. The team paired up with a shared interest in mind: to create a brand that was always moving forward. With help from a crowdfunding campaign the young entrepreneurs got the brand off the ground and built a loyal following before they even produced a single pair of sunglasses.

The sunglass industry is a two billion dollar industry with Luxoticca controlling nearly 70% of market share and owning companies like Ray Ban and Oakley. Luckily for Blenders, San Diego is known for being extremely supportive of local brands, especially those involved in the beach and surf scene. The SD Entertainer is a big supporter of local entrepreneurs and start up companies, and will be sitting down to interview the brains behind Blenders Eyewear on September 28th.
