Financial Tip of the Week: Finding Ways to Help Your Favorite Charity by Steve Sexton

San Diego Entertainer’s own financial expert, Steve Sexton, provides the Channel 6 San Diego Living show with financial tips throughout the month. We are thankful to be able to share his financial expertise with our readers.

This week on the segment, Sexton talked about ways to help your favorite charity and never miss the money you were able to contribute. As a cancer survivor, Sexton started working with charities on a personal level. During the process of chemotherapy he noticed the amount of support others gave to help those battling the disease and he wanted to find ways to give back.

Sexton decided to use his own financial gift set to help charity donors find “lost money” so he started with founding a group called the Financial Knowledge Institute that educated people about understanding the six steps of retirement, mortgage and estate planning.

His desire is to help people find “money falling through the cracks” so they too can contribute the “found money” to charities of their choice.
