Apps For Everyday Life

By  |

These days, there are so many apps out there that it’s hard to tell what’s worth adding to your home screen. We wanted to share with you a few apps that we have found helpful in everyday life. From organization to splitting the bill to renting a car, these apps are creating new ways for us to be more efficient in our technology-driven world.

Square Cash

The Square Cash app makes today’s world so much easier. Whether you are at a restaurant with a group of friends and need to split the bill, or heading on a Costco run that your friends want in on, the Cash app helps send money quickly and efficiently between friends. If you’re done with checkbooks and last minute ATM runs, then you have to add the Cash app to your “must have” list. It’s easy, no extra fees, and money can be transferred within 24 hours for free.

Canva

These days, everyone is required to be a designer. Design a flyer for your kid’s birthday party, an invitation for your housewarming party, a business card for your first jaunt toward self-employment, or a cover for your project proposal, Canva is a user-friendly app that will help you design in a flash. Use their templates or start from scratch and create something that is eye-catching without having to have a background in graphic design.

Asana: Team Tasks & Conversation

Connect with team members on projects, through the use of this online and app-based platform. Asana helps you stay organized and keep to-do lists to work at your most efficient rate. Collaborate on projects with your co-workers and assign specific tasks to each team member to tackle. Keep track of your progress and see how close you are to completing your goal. This is a great tool for those who work on the go and need help with the details.

Google Calendar

Get your life in order, with the help of Google Calendar. See a monthly, weekly, or daily outline of all the events and reminders you have on your plate, and never miss anything again. The Google Calendar app has a place to type the address, set multiple reminders, and even invite guests to join you. Their platform adds color and photos to your events, making them fun to look at and easy to read.

Traveling this summer? Or in between cars at the moment? Turo is an app that allows you to rent a wide range of cars directly from locals. If you are looking for a specific type of car, or need a pick up at the airport, this app allows you to find and reserve the car that fits your around town needs. Download the app and get screened through their questionnaire process before you rent your first car. And if you have an extra car, this might be the perfect way to earn a little cash instead of letting it sit idle.

Happy app-ing!
