Election day is here!.

We are currently in an era of inflation and misinformation; which means it’s time to make America have great deals again!

Is there really a better way to spend your day after voting for one of the most polarizing events in history than to take advantage of all the great deals out there?

Answer: No.

Moreover, here are some of the best places in San Diego to visit after -or before- you cast your ballot.

Krispy Kreme

Where: Clairemont (4180 Clairemont Mesa Blvd.); Rancho Carmel (11050 Rancho Carmel Dr.); and Chula Vista (2305 Otay Lakes Rd., Suite 206)

When: 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. at select locations.

What you get : Everyone qualifies for one of Krispy Kreme’s signature donuts for free with a “I Voted” sticker. So make sure not to discard of your sticker after voting.

Woodstock’s Pizza

Where: Pacific Beach (1221 Garnet Ave.) and San Diego (6145 El Cajon Blvd.)

When: All day.

What you get: Both locations will be serving specials from their Happy Hour (HH) menu during their extended HH hours.

AMC Theaters

Where: AMC Mission Valley 20 (Democratic Pary) and AMC La Jolla 12 (Republican Party).

When: All day

What you get: While many people may elect to stay home, free viewing parties will be taking place during the day. You can catch the election in all of its glory on a large 30 x 20 foot screen (approximately). Free admission is offered to both AMC members and guests.

Farmer’s Bottega

Where: Mission Hills (860 West Washington St.)

When: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.

What you get: Let’s face it, we’re all going to need a good drink to quantify this election’s results. So make sure to head over to this wonderful, quaint country-themed bar to have free mimosas or champagne options for free of charge.

Breakfast Republic

Where: Liberty Station (2865 Sims Road, Suite 106) and North Park (2730 University Ave.)

When: 7 a.m.

What you get: Kick off your Election Day with some of Breakfast Republic’s free apple pancakes. This spacious, casual restaurant will be open till 8 pm at Liberty Station while North Park’s location will close its doors at 3 pm.

Backyard Kitchen & Tap

Where: Clairemont (832 Garnet Ave.)

When: All day

What you get: If none of the aforementioned spots meets your desired type of environment, then Backyard Kitchen & Tap serves up a calming, serene spot within close proximity to the beach, which is perhaps the perfect way to forget all of the stresses and anticipations of the election cycle. All items will be 20% off provided they show their voting sticker along with complementary $5 offerings on Crown Royal and Don Julio drinks to boot.
