If parades and events aren’t your thing and you’d prefer to spend your St. Patty’s Day at a classic bar or restaurant, with a drink in hand, we’ve got you covered. We found places across the city for you to dine and drink this Friday night for a St. Patrick’s Day to remember.

Tilted Kilt & Eatery

Join Rock 105.3 for the sixth annual Keggs N’ Eggs event this Friday from 6am-10am. This event is broadcast live from the Mission Valley restaurant, and you’ll have a chance to win a variety of prizes like tickets to the shows like Shinedown and Kings of Leon.

Tin Roof

Starting at 4pm, head to the Tin Roof downtown to enjoy green beer, $5 Jameson, green giveaways and live music by Coriander. The Tin Roof declared their St. Paddy’s Day party to be the best in town, but we’ll let you be the judge. Party until closing time, since you get to sleep in on Saturday!

Shakespeare Pub & Grille

Head to Mission Hills to enjoy the annual St. Paddy’s Day celebrations at Shakespeare Pub & Grille. In addition to their regular menu, Irish cuisine will be served, with choices like corned beef and hash, Guinness beef Irish stew, corned beef tacos, and Bailey’s cheesecake. Even a live piper and drummer will make an appearance at 6pm, so you don’t want to miss this!

McGregor’s

The 20th annual party at McGregor’s starts at 11am this Friday in Mission Valley. Four bands play at 3pm until close, and Irish dishes will be served such as corned beef and cabbage and Irish stew. Guinness, green beer, and Irish whiskey will be offered all night.

Social Tap

Enjoy classic Irish fare at Social Tap downtown, like roast beef sandwiches, tacos, and more. Be entertained by the TV covered walls and you won’t miss a moment of the weekend’s games. With a view of Petco Park from the bar, you can daydream about the upcoming Padres season and day drink your Friday away.

The LOT

Looking for the most relaxed St. Patrick’s Day plan possible? The LOT at Liberty Station has you covered. Enjoy the latest movies in the theater’s luxury leather recliners while indulging in their holiday specials. The LOT also features a completely glass-enclosed café, bar and restaurant space. Food specials include classic Irish dishes like corn beef and cabbage and Irish beef stew, alongside drink specials like $6 peanut butter stouts and $5 Jameson shots.

Cafe la Rue

Up in La Jolla, Cafe la Rue is hosting St. Patty’s “Yappy Hour.” On the cafe’s patio, a doggie costume contest will take place, featuring prizes and complimentary treats for the furriest members of the family. Humans can enjoy food and drink specials, live music, and an exceptionally pet-friendly environment.

As always, be safe this weekend during your St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, and make sure your fellow drinkers do too.
