No matter the day of the week or time of the year, there’s always something to do in San Diego. Here at the Entertainer, we want to make sure you are fully entertained with not-your-typical-everyday-events… every day of the week. Make this week of May extraordinary with the fun and unique events listed below:

Wednesday, May 19th

If you want to learn, have fun, and feed animals, come to the Chula Vista Nature Center between 1:45 PM and 3:30PM. It won’t be your typical weekday afternoon as you attend the feedings of sea turtles, sharks, stingrays and eagles. The Chula Vista Nature Center is a great zoo/aquarium that exhibits native San Diego plants and animals.  In addition to the feedings, you can join the nature center on a guided tour of the center and the surrounding area.

Want to get a head start on your summer beach body? Want to meet new people that share your love for running? Join Movin Shoes in Pacific Beach every Wednesday night for Wednesday Night Runs, a free and easy 5 mile run around Mission Bay. The run begins at 6PM.

Rock out for a good cause! The 2nd Annual Rock & Roll Music, Art and Fashion Benefit Event—Rock To Stop Violence—is Wednesday night at 7PM at the House of Blues. Enjoy a live music concert by current and former members of AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Spencer Davis Group, Edgar Winter Band and more! There will also be a rock n roll couture fashion show, photos and art, meet and greet, autograph signing and even more performances! Proceeds will benefit the Chadwick Center for Children and Families at Rady Children’s Hospital.

Thursday, May 20th

Come to the beautiful Cardiff-by-the-Sea for a special taste of its downtown restaurants, bars and cafes. Cardiff-by-the-Sea is hosting its first ever “Taste of Cardiff” sponsored by Cardiff 101 Main Street. The scrumptious three-hour event, beginning at 5:30PM, includes over 15 participating restaurants.

Looking for a unique night out with the girls? Come to the Gaslamp Quarter’s The Melting Pot for a delicious night of fondue dipping. For only $19.95 a person, you and your friends will enjoy cheese fondue, California Salad, and of course Chocolate fondue!

Friday, May 21st

Whether you’re a golfer or not, come join the fun at the 2nd Annual Safari Scramble Golf Tournament! Shotgun starts at 1PM at the Meadow Lake Golf Resort in Escondido. Participants can get up close and personal with Zoofari’s live animals on the course. Enjoy a silent auction, raffle, tee prizes and contests. Non-golfers can also enjoy the special dinner and animal presentation. All proceeds will benefit Zoofari’s rescued animals and conservation efforts.

If you’re big fan of cars, come to the historic downtown Escondido’s ‘Cruisin’ Grand’ Car Show from 5PM to 9PM. The Union Tribune describes ‘Cruisin’ Grand’ as “Escondido’s world famous car show on Grand Avenue since 2000.”

SAMBA-Belly Dance Show is every Friday night at 7:30PM at Avo’s Mediterranean Cuisine in downtown. Enjoy a delicious full course meal as you watch the cultural show. Don’t miss out–every week there’s a different themed show along with special dancers and percussionists.

Saturday, May 22nd

Grab your bike and ride over to the 4th Annual San Diego Century Bicycle Tour across North County. Riders can choose between a 103, 67, and 33-mile course. The SDC bike tour is open to all cyclists and it is not a race. You’ll enjoy the finish line party, free gifts, and of course the ride itself! Register Friday, May 21 at B&L Bike & Sports 211 N. Highway 101, Solana Beach.

Sunday, May 23rd

Enjoy the best Italian food in San Diego, along with music and dance performances on four different stages. The 17th Annual Sicilian Festival in Little Italy is this Sunday, beginning at 10AM. Immerse yourself in the cultural heritage brought to San Diego by Sicilian immigrants, while kids enjoy plenty of fun activities. Made especially for soccer fans, the festival also hosts the Puma World Cup Soccer Fan Zone at the corner of Beech and India Streets. You won’t want to miss the exciting events going in the Fan Zone!

Allow yourself to be brought back to the “Hotel California” when The Eagles come to San Diego this Sunday! Get a taste of the good old classic rock as The Eagles make their stop in our hometown to play their greatest “hits from their more than 35-year career”. The concert begins at 7:30PM at the Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre in Chula Vista. Get your tickets here to enjoy their 2010 Long Road Out of Eden World Tour.

Have a nice, eventful week, San Diego!
