Events This Week – Rogue Wave, The Avett Brothers, Dining Out for Life

By  |

Rogue Wave at Belly Up

Tuesday, April 27 @ 9PM
Rogue Wave will be at Belly up tonight! Rogue Wave has just released Permalight, their second album with Brush Fire Records and their fourth overall. This is the first release since Asleep at Heaven’s Gate, their album that was released in 2007.
The delay between albums must have been because Zack Rogues woke up partially paralyzed with two slipped discs in his back leaving him unable to even strum a guitar. Apparently this awe-inspiring experience led Rogue to create a new direction for Rogue Wave wit the album Permalight.Fans of the Oakland Indie Rockers are sure to come out on Tuesday night.

The Avett Brothers with Truth and Salvage Company

Thursday, April 29 @ 8:30PM

These North Carolina boys seem to be the MVPs of live performance. These brothers, Scott and Seth Avett, know how to belt out lyrics with vocals that contribute to high energy  of a live show. This band doesn’t just perform with the vocal and the musical instruments but with their entire bodies as well, they don’t stop moving. This band that mixes elements of country, bluegrass, rock and folk, sing hopeful songs about love and family.
