North Park Festival of the Arts is this Sunday

Image by Allan Ferguson via FlickrIf you’re looking for a way to chase out the May Gray, the North Park Arts Festival will put the color back into spring.

The 14th annual North Park Festival of the Arts is set for Sunday, May 16th this year, located down University Avenue. From 10AM-6PM, art, music, and food lovers from all around are invited to participate in the festivities, which typically attract around 35,000 attendees.

Food & Drink

From 12PM-6PM, Ohio Street will be transformed into the Craft Beer Block, where you can eat and drink to your heart’s content thanks to local breweries, wineries, and restaurants. Give some San Diego beers a try, such as Pizza Port, Stone, Coronado, Lightning, and Ballast Point. Tasty treat tickets will be offered by North Park eateries for $25 in advance, and $30 the day of. Participating eateries include Urban Solace, Heaven Sent Desserts, West Coast Tavern, Il Postino, The Linkery, Ranchos Concina, Ritual, and Sea Rocket Bistro.

Art

The Artist’s Village is the focal point of the festival, with over 100 artists displaying or selling sculptures, paintings, and a variety of crafts.

Music

A variety of artists will be performing on the festival’s 6 stages throughout the day. Indie, rock, beatbox, folk, even a dance stage– it’s all here.
