KAABOO Del Mar Confirmed for 5 More Years

By  |

KAABOO Del Mar announced today that it has confirmed a minimum five year residence in Del Mar, with an option to extend for an additional five. It was a unanimous decision from the board of directors of Del Mar after Tuesday’s board meeting. Residents, business owners and tourism officials spoke positively of KAABOO noting that the jobs, and revenue it brought to the area were cause enough for the contact to be approved. Del Mar residents’ concerns of noise and disturbances will be addressed with stricter noise control policies, and concluding all outdoor concerts at 10:00pm on Friday and Saturday, and 9:00pm on Sunday.

Bryan Gordon, CEO and Founder of KAABOO said, “This will be a leading cultural and entertainment event in the country.” Featured in Rolling Stone as one of the top five festivals in the country last year, KAABOO Del Mar is set up for a continued success with the Del Mar Fairgrounds and Racetrack, and surrounding communities.

The festival returns again in 2016, and in just a few weeks, festival organizers will be releasing more information including a full roster of performers who will entertain crowds come September. This year’s three-day festival has already confirmed some great acts like Jack Johnson, Goo Goo Dolls, Gavin Degraw, Jason Isbell and The Avett Brothers.

KAABOO is not just a music festival. The upscale experience combines great live music (of course), delicious food, impressive and unique art displays and great comedians. Three-day passes are still available for purchase here. Mark your calendars… KAABOO returns Friday Sep 16, 2016 – Sunday Sep 18, 2016.

San Diego resident for over 10 years, I now call this beautiful city home. Originally from the Bay Area, I'm a California girl at heart. I love the outdoors, fitness, food, and a good craft beer (from San Diego of course).
