Dive-In Theatre @ The Pearl Hotel

Looking for a more laidback pool experience? The Pearl Hotel’s Dive-In Theatre is the place for you. This quaint boutique hotel in Point Loma hosts weekly poolside screenings of movies, just like the drive-in. Showtime is at 8:00 p.m. and the pool is open to all attendees (free for hotel guests, available to visitors with a drink purchase). Order dinner, take a dip, and enjoy a movie in one of the most relaxing environments possible. Head to the Pearl’s website to find a list of the movies they are screening.

The Rooftop by STK at the Downtown Hyatt

This rooftop pool is best for an upscale experience by day or by night. During the day, lounge by the pool and enjoy brunch from the comfort of a private cabana. Come back at night to dance to a live DJ as the roof is turned into a nightclub against the skyline. The Hyatt is one of the taller buildings downtown, so you’ll feel like you’re on top of the city as you dance and swim the day away. Check out their page for more details on the Rooftop by STK experience.

Level Four Pool Deck and Lounge at Kimpton Hotel Palomar

This downtown boutique hotel offers a rooftop pool with all sorts of other amenities. Chef Brad Kraten designed a bar menu that pairs perfectly with the laid back atmosphere. You can host your own party at the Level Four Pool, with access to the delicious menu, cocktail bar, and views. The party at Hotel Palomar doesn’t start until the summer comes, but be sure to stop by when the season arrives.
