  1. I have been a HUGE fan of Brandy Alexander since inception. Out here, in Hawaii, websites like this (SD Entertainer) help us out here floating in the Pacific keep up on new acts. We’re not all Don Ho fans. Brandy Alexander is the kind of band that makes stuff HAPPEN! Thanks. Chris Kona

  2. Kitty Coleman says:

I love this song by the The Fascination! Good pick!

  3. Alio says:

Fascination have a great female lead vocal…she sounds British too!

  4. Your secret admirer says:

You should all vote for Bill Cardinal cuz he works his arse off, and the fingerpickin’ he does on that song is good.

  5. Aiden Scott says:

I don’t understand the voting here. The worst song on the play list is first in voting? It’s obvious the bands are voting for themselves, and one of them has some kind of computer program or bot or something set up to vote for them. You guys need to fix your voting system so the worst bands don’t win this stuff. Anyhow, very nice work from Bill Cardinal, Trains and Clouds, and Brandy Alexander!

  6. Matt Brown says:

Jolly good show San Diego – especially those fellows in ‘The Napoleon Complex’! Thumbs up from England: everyone in Elephant and Castle thinks you’re bloody marvellous! Are you planning on coming across the pond anytime soon chaps?

    Matt

PS Alden Scott mentions that The Napoleon Complex are using robots? If so we’d have to find some way of powering them over here in Blighty – no electricity yet I’m afraid (we’ve got the internet on steam power – hence the profusion of chimney sweeps). Still, Mr. Scott is clearly a very clever old bean, so perhaps he can invent some wind-up ‘bots’ to help explain to everyone else which bands to like and which ones are bad? Gosh that would be useful Mr. Scott – please tell us more!

    Toodle pip.

  7. Jane Doe says:

The Napoleon Complex is a mixture of fantastic music. As for setting up “bots”, I think a site as credible as SD Entertainer would be able to block any form of double votes etc.

No matter who takes the lead in this competition, shouldn’t we all act like adults? If the band you think should win isn’t winning, there is no need to tarnish the name of other bands. If you would like the band you support to win, then advertise for them. Spread their name, enlist your friends to vote. There are many things you can do that would be productive for the band you support, complaining not being one of them.

  8. Gus says:

I have been a HUGE fan of HELEN EARTH BAND and I believe that they have done an amazing job with “Planemo.” In fact, the whole album “Our Own Ghost City” through and through is thoughtfully put together. Even after listening to the others, (which are also quality SD music) Helen Earth Band remains my favorite. I can see this band going far.

  9. Caitlin says:

Any former member of Finch gets my vote. Great idea for getting local bands out there. I’ll be sending this link on.

  10. Jordan says:

I truly love San Diego local music… This is a really cool thing SD entertainer has going~ So many talented bands. It’s too bad people aren’t supporting the scene these days, used to be so much more support… Anyhow, every band on here has a different style and something to offer. Been watching the brothers from Helen Earth since Counterfit, and the boys in Brandy Alexander since Agent 51. Good to see them still plugging away!
